The game has been published by Microsoft Studios and developed by The Coalition. This single and multiplayer game has been launched for Xbox One and Microsoft Windows for PC Games on October 11, 2016.
It is the continuation of gear of wars 3 in which Locust and Lambent were killed and in this version, the story of the game focuses on J.D. Marcus Fenix the son of Fenix and Anya Stroud. J.D and they deal with the survival of humanity on the planet. This war game featured several elements such as Drop shot ammunition that fires destructive drills and the Buzzkill that fires ricocheting sawblades at antagonists. To rescue humans in the game the player has to make get out of the city. J.D. and Del raids in a nearby COG location that is under construction and they also help people in repairing the power generator to the villagers.
